Love. Some are more traditional and some not so much. Some people think this is a trumped up holiday. I think we should show our love year round, but this is a day to remind us and others just how much we love each other. So I will be spending the day with my boyfriend and he is cooking me a romantic dinner. You don't have to do anything special just so long as you spend the day with the people you love most.

How to say "I Love You" around the world:

Danish Jeg elsker dig
Dutch Ik hou van jou
Esperanto Mi amas vin
French Je t'aime
German Ich liebe Dich
Indonesian Saya cinta kamu
Italian Ti amo
Japanese Aishite imasu
Latin Te amo
Mandarin Chinese Wo ai ni
Polish Kocham cie
Romanian Te iu besc
Russian Ya vas liubliu
Spanish Te amo
Swedish Jag alskar dig
Turkish Seni seviyorum

"Heres Your Sign"

I am a server at Denny's on the overnight shift and I get the dumbest questions. Here are some examples.

Customer: Do you serve breakfast here?

No, this is Denny's, but no we only serve steak.

Me: How would you like your eggs cooked?
Customer: With the yolks.

Ok well now that we have established that you don't want egg whites.

Me: Can I get you something to drink?
Customer: No, just water.

Ohhh right, because you don't drink water you snort it.

Customer: Does the water come with ice?

Nope, we only serve it luke warm here.

Customer: Can I substitute french fries for some chicken strips?

Oh yeah sure, how about a steak while your at it.

I love it when people point to things on our menu and ask "Do you serve this?". No we just put it on there to tease you.

And my newest favorite: The restaurant is full of customers and employees at about 3am and someone walks in and asks "Are you open?". Nope, we just like our jobs so much we come up here on our days off in uniform to watch the place. I get atleast one person a night who asks me.

It is an interesting shift to work on. Through all of those little things and all of the other annoying things I love that shift. CPR was preformed to try and keep her breathing and she was incubated until they could get her to the hospital. She died an hour after being transported to the hospital. She was found in her room by a nurse who called 911. They are still waiting on the cause of death and are unsure why there was a nurse with her. There are of course rumors that is was to do with drugs. They said the call was of a cardiac nature. Some are saying it could have to do with that amount of stress she has been under lately.

This family has some terrible carma following it around. All these deaths in such a short time. And now where is the baby going to go since the DNA test has not been done yet? Howard Stern is on the birth certificate as the legal father, but we will see how the test comes out. Then there is the money issue. The money started with a man who is dead. It was given to Anna who is now dead and then contested by the son who is now dead. So how do the courts figure this one out. Now the only people left to obtain this money will be her daughter and/or lover Howard Stern (they are not actualy married). Did she leave a will? Even if she did leave a will leaving the money to someone specific is she able to will money to someone that she does not actualy have?

Eternal Embrace

Archaeologists in Italy have discovered a couple buried 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, hugging each other.

"It's an extraordinary case," said Elena Menotti, who led the team on their dig near the northern city of Mantova.

"There has not been a double burial found in the Neolithic period, much less two people hugging -- and they really are hugging."

Menotti said she believed the two, almost certainly a man and a woman although that needs to be confirmed,
died young because thier teeth were mostly intact and not worn down.

WOW... I still remember every detail of that day as if time itself stood still. It was the day I feared would be the end of life as we know it. In many ways it was. Our entire world has changed in every way since, never to be the same again. I am indeed a part of the demographic that flocks to truth in television. I love those "inspired by actual events" movies. That being said, I think the way this day is being marketed is horribly distasteful. The worst example I have seen so far is that on Monday the 11th this year, CNN will play the entire footage from that day in real time, from start to finish. My question is "Why"? As if any one person could possibly forget any detail of that frightful morning. Why do we need to see it replayed like that? It is already everywhere. It is a part of our daily lives.

That is all I will write about this for now, but I would like to direct your attention to my mother's blog because she writes so well and has such a way of getting her point across that I pale in comparison. I erge you to read her post on the matter and every other post she may write as it is a true accounting of our worlds current events.

http://www.lesbiencestmoi.blogspot.com/

Journal Entry

Life is an amazing thing. You never know where it might take you. I think the only true screw up in life is ourselves going against the master plan. We are always protesting against the natural flow of our lives so sure that it is wrong and we are right. i am just as guilty of this at time as the next person, but not this time. For once I am going with the flow, however illogical or unreasonable as it may seem. I have the opportunity to abruptly change my life and I am taking it. My life has always taken so many different directions and I always thought they were the wrong ones, but maybe every seemingly misdirection has been leading me to the one right one. Maybe this is the one, maybe not. Who knows, thats half the fun I think. I am so scared and excited about my next move. It might turn out to be another wrong turn, but thats ok. I am willing to take that chance. Some people think I am always looking for someone to complete me, but they are wrong. I am complete all on my own. I just want someone to share my life with. Someone to make the bad things good and the good things even better.

My Life... Updated...

Well I have desided that I need a change. I am moving to Daytona Beach. I know some people there and I like the area. It is not far from where I am currently, but it is just far enough. There is also a man there waiting for me who is smart, sweet, and funny. He really is wonderful and has everything that has been lacking lately. So I am also very excited about that new prospect. They say when you are not looking for something there it is. I truely believe that because I was not in any way looking for this at this point in my life.

Now.... I never finished high school (I know i am terrible). So I am finaly going back and getting my G.E.D. I was very surprised at how this process has gone so far. I went in to sign up for the classes and they started by giving me some intial assesment tests. I started doing those and they desided to give them to me in advanced level. Then when I returned they looked over my scores and said they were quite high. So they started me on the G.E.D. pre-tests since I had nothing to work on. Now I have only one section to go (the essay section) and my teacher said even if I completely fail that section I will still be well over 200 points of passing level. I was so excited. I did not think I would do that well. I will be going back to finish the last section and then sign up for the test once I get to Daytona. Now many people over the years have nagged me about going to college and it has always gone in one ear and out the other. I just always thought it was not for me. I am now thinking about it. I always wanted to be an elementary teacher. So I am thinking about going to school after my test.

It is time to make some changes in my life. I have been waitressing for years and do not want to do that for the rest of my life. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but it is very hard on your mind and body. I want to do something that does not require me to wear a name tag. I want to come home and not smell of french fries every day. So I am trying to make some changes.

When I first get to Daytona I will not be on line for quite some time, but I hope to be able to return soon and I will update things then. Until then.... I hope all is well!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ruondrugs.blogspot.com/2006/09/my-life-updated.html' title='My Life... So I thought I would pass it along further.

Written by an Australian Dentist........ "To Kill an American"

You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.

So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is . So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)

"An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.

An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.

An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses.

An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.

An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return.

When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country!

As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given! more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan . Americans welcome the best of everything...the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best services. But they also welcome the least.

The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America .

Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

Maybe Poetry?

I have always liked to write, but have never been very good at it. As Of Now....

It has been so long since I posted. I have not been online at all in quite some time. My life desided to take a quick drastic change, as usual. My husband and I sat down of a Sunday, Mother's Day actualy, to talk about moving into a new apartment. By the end of the conversation he informed me that he wanted a divorce. Out of the blue he starts telling me how we have nothing in common, and he likes his privacy, and does not like the accountability level that comes along with marriage. That was that. This should not have surprised me I suppose because this was my husbands way of dealing with everything. He would go over something in his head alone and then blurt out a desicion. Now keep in mind that I have not worked since we married a year ago, at his request. So I now have no money or job or anything. So not only is my marriage falling apart I now have to figure out all the practical things as well. He gave me $480.00 and sent me on my way with well wishes. Nice huh? It is now only two and a half months after the fact and I am not much further ahead than I was then. I am a fool in matters of the heart. Always have been, unfortunately. Thankfully I have very good friends around me to listin to me babble and carry on as I need to. Half way through the process I had an emotional outburst and told my husband that this was crazy. You don't just give up on a marriage after only ten months over night night because you want some privacy. His mother was in town and staying with him at the time so we agreed to talk this over and fix it after she left, not wanting to interfere with her vacation. He once again made me promises and I once again believed them. So time rolled on and I had lots of time to think. I desided it was not a good idea. Fool me once, shame on you... Fool me twice, shame on me. Seeing as he had already done this once before about six months into the marriage I can not handle it again. Not a third time. So I call him to talk and tell him all of this at which point I realize I made the right desicion. His responce to me was "thats ok, I didn't really want to anyway. So anyway... Nine states along with the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico face penalties.

The Department of Education on Friday ordered every state to explain how it will have 100 percent of its core teachers qualified -- belatedly -- in the 2006-07 school year.

In the meantime, some states face the loss of federal aid because they didn't make enough effort to comply on time, officials said.
They are Alaska, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina and Washington, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

"At some point there was, I suspect, a little bit of notion that 'This too shall pass,' " said Henry Johnson, the assistant secretary over elementary and secondary education. "Well, the day of reckoning is here, and it's not going to pass."

Department officials would not say how much aid could be withheld from states to force compliance. But Johnson said, "In some cases, we're talking about large amounts of money."

The 4-year-old No Child Left Behind law says teachers must have a bachelor's degree, a state license and proven competency in every subject they teach by this year. The first federal order of its kind, it applies to teachers of math, history and any other core class.

In grading the states, the department found that 29 have made substantial progress. They must improve, but they do not face looming sanctions.

Twelve other states are still under review and haven't been rated: Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

No matter which category they are in, all the states must submit a new plan of action.

Most states give themselves good grades on teacher quality; 33 states say 90 percent to 99 percent of their classes are taught by highly qualified teachers. Most of the rest put their numbers a tier below, in a range of 70 percent to 89 percent.

Although the federal term is "highly qualified," the definition is widely regarded as more of a minimum qualification, because it requires teachers to know what they teach.

Well amazingly enough for once I agree with something Bush is doing. It is about time we start holding our teachers to a higher standard. I live in south Florida and the teachers here do not care one bit, and most are certainly not qualified enough to be teaching the subjects they are teaching. My brother's 4th grade teacher was only 11 years older than he was. She was 20 years old. You can not tell me she had proper schooling to teach the subjects she was teaching. She couldn't have and had not. These are the people that are teaching and shaping our children; shouldn't they be held to a high standard? I think so. Now don't get me wrong; I am usualy in the teachers court here. I think for the most part they are amazing people who take thankless jobs that pay very little. My brother-in-law, working at Wendy's, makes more than most our teachers do. Whoa! There is a problem with that. However, they need to have proper training/schooling for the subjects they are teaching our children!

I think I might need some prescription medication to deal with the fact that I agree with Bush on something!

Holy ____ !!

A schoolgirl who became pregnant at the age of 11 is set to break the record for being the UK's youngest mother.

Now aged 12, she has told a national newspaper how she is "really excited" about the prospect of having a child after losing her virginity to a boy aged 15 in Edinburgh.

She is due to give birth in a few weeks, breaking the record set by Jenny Teague of Dorset, who had a baby aged 12 years and nine months in 1997.
The girl, who has not been named, told the Sun: "I think I'll be able to cope as I've had lots of practice looking after my brothers."

She feared that she might be pregnant after having unprotected sex with the boy on a night out with friends in Edinburgh last August. The pregnancy was confirmed with the help of a supermarket home-testing kit.

Her 34-year-old mother told the newspaper: "I'm not ashamed of my daughter at all - in fact, I'm proud of her for keeping her baby."

The mum-to-be, who smokes up to 20 cigarettes a day according to the newspaper, said she hoped the baby would be a boy.

"I'm enjoying being pregnant - even though I get a bit of a sore back and sore ribs," she said.

This is our youth. An 11 year old child is having a child and her mother is all for it. What is wrong with people? What is she doing smoking? What is she doing having sex, not to mention having a 15 year old boyfriend? This is just the most insane thing I have ever seen. It still amazes me every day the people who are having children. You have to have a license to fish and to hunt, but anyone can have a baby. There is something wrong with that don't you think?

Her mother needs some prescription medication!

Mother's Day

POSITION :Mother, Mom, Mama, Mommy, Ma

JOB DESCRIPTION:Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an often chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills! And be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily, until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf. Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers. Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects. Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment theNext. I just do not understand people. I am constantly reading about lawsuits against the fast food chains. One of the reasons being obesity. They blame the fast food chains for making them fat. Like everyone doesn't know that there are 53 grams of fat in a whopper. I am heavy myself, but you don't see me blaming someone else because I ate all those fat-filled foods. Did burger king come to my house, hold a gun to my head, and stuff that buger down my throat? NO! I think people need to stop making excuses for thier being fat. Grow up and take responsibility for your own actions! What do you think?

Maybe they have some prescription medication for dillusion!

Walk Across the Country!

FAIRFIELD, N.J. - Steve Vaught has lost more than 100 pounds on his walk across the country, but he's regaining his sanity.

At 410 pounds a year ago, the 40-year-old father of two from San Diego was battling a severe eating disorder and deep depression, caused by the guilt over accidentally killing two elderly pedestrians 15 years ago.

"It threw me into a tailspin. In the three years after the accident I gained 150 pounds," Vaught said. "When something like that happens, you lose the ability to care about anything. You don't put value on anything, because you know it can end at any second."

Vaught's tipping point came last year when he was so obese that he couldn't walk across a department store. So he decided a walk from Oceanside, Calif., to New York City would be just the cure.

He set out on his journey on April 10, 2005, hoping to complete the trip in six months. By early November, he had reached the halfway point after walking 1,400 miles. After taking a break for the holidays, he resumed walking in January.

He has kept a running log of his trek on his Web site, TheFatManWalking.com, which has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits, while others have watched him on Oprah 's TV show.

"People try to make this about calories and scales, but this is about living your life," he said Monday, walking briskly along Route 46 — about 25 miles from his goal — as cars hummed past and beeped, a large paunch still part of his 305 pounds. "I spent 15 years either regretting the past or fearing the future. Now I'm living in the present."

He says he's gone through 15 pair of shoes, 12 pairs of pants, three shirts, 30 pairs of socks and his own sanity — twice.

His first bout of deep depression was in New Mexico, where he stopped at a truck stop and didn't want to continue through the desert. The next time was in an Amarillo, Texas, hotel when he went off his antidepressants and stayed there for seven days.

Vaught's other problem on the trail has been a lack of healthy food to eat. Most of his options have been fast food. He says he eats what's available when he stops, trying to stock up on carbohydrates in the morning and eat protein about 70 percent of the time.

Early in the journey, he slept mostly in a tent, but also sleeps in motels along the route. The bearded hiker has no formal support team, but is often accompanied by a documentary filmmaker.

"This trip has been horrible and it's been wonderful," he said. "But the best thing about all of this is the people I've met."

Just then, as Vaught rested on a railroad tie just off the highway, 49-year-old Eddie Day of Montville pulled up, beeping the horn of his white sport utility vehicle. Day quickly jumped out, ran up to Vaught and told him what an inspiration he was.

"He tells America to get off its butt," Day said. "There are people who don't get off their butts to go to the gym in their own hometown, and he's out here walking across the country, you know?"

Vaught said he expects to conclude the journey Tuesday night, crossing the George Washington Bridge to New York City.

WoW..... I can't imagine walking across the country. I debate for ten minutes on whether to walk to the beach or not (it being about a mile away). that takes some serious dedication and determination. I think what he has done is amazing, really. Good for him!

Forget the prescription medication.... bring on a nice hot bath!

Auto-play Music

Ok.... I had a music video on my blog here and it automaticaly played when you viewed my blog. I recently got a comment from "annoymous" saying to take it off because it was obnoxious. I have removed that comment. Now the reason I removed it was because I do not want that kind of rudeness on my blog. I welcome free speech on my blog even if you are disagreeing with me. Lets just keep it civil and a bit less rude. I do not want anyone thinking I will remove comments at random. Plus the comment was posted under a post that had nothing to do with what he had to say. I did not happen to think the music was obnoxious. It was a light song dedicated to the heros fighting our war overseas and the heros right here at home. However, I do not want my blog to come off as obnoxious so I have removed it. What are your thoughts on the matter? Honestly.

Recipie of the Week (05-09)

Golden Bananna Rolls

Ingredients:

6 pcs saba bananas (cooking or plantain bananas), peeled and each sliced lengthwise into 4 pcs

12 pcs lumpia wrappers (egg rolls), each cut into 2 pcs

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup water

2 pcs pandan leaves (screw pine)

1 can (234 g) DEL MONTE Fresh Cut Pineapple Chunks

4 Tbsp margarine

Procedures:

1 WRAP each banana slice with lumpia wrapper. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,Desperate

Dear Desperate:

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.

Please enter the command: "http//www.I-Thought-You-Loved-Me.com" and try to download Tears 6.2, and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.

If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should thenautomatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1. Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.
Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background, that will eventually seize control of all your system resources).

Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. This is an unsupported application and will crash Husband 1.0.
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory, and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 7.7.

HIV Scare For Many

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A California hospital was contacting some 300 morbidly obese patients after learning they may have been exposed to hepatitis or HIV by poorly cleaned instruments used in stomach-reduction operations.

Administrators at Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego said on Wednesday the patients had been asked to take blood tests when it was discovered a nurse had failed to follow proper procedures for sterilizing the instruments.

Stanziano said state health officials were overseeing an investigation into the nurse's failure to properly sterilize an instrument called a gastroscope.
The gastroscope, which is used in so-called stomach-stapling operations, requires a different sterilization process from most instruments because it cannot be exposed to high temperatures.

He said results of the blood tests would be available in two to three weeks.

Can you imagine going to the hospital for surgery and leaving with the possibility for HIV? I thought ohh how nice. So now I am paying closer attention when, here it comes, "she could win a laundry room makeover"! A laundry room makeover? Are you serious? Is this 1950 and I missed it? Could that have been any more sexist? Not a makeover for any room in your house, not a vacation, or a trip to the spa, but a laundry room makeover. "Ohh boy, I'm excited... I get new laundry baskets"!!!

These people must have benn on prescription medication for the past 50 years. Maybe they don't know it is 2006!

Husbands- Sweet but Devoid of Common Sense....

Yes, that is my husband carrying our wedding cake with a ciggarette in his mouth.

I love my husband dearly, but sometimes I just do not understand him.

Example: My husband offers to go to the grocery store for me since I wasn’t feeling well. Right off the bat a little red flag is going up in my head, but what the hell. I write him a detailed list. What brand, kind, size, and cost. It looks something like this:

Butter- country crock-churn style 2.50
Coffee- NOT Columbian-cheapest one they have 5.00
Soda-2- only buy if they have a sale on it 6.00

That seems pretty easy right? He comes back with store brand butter, foldgers Columbian coffee, and soda that was not on sale (4.50 each). Ugggg.

Do men check their brains at the door?

So this month is a really tight month for us with money. He knows this. We have NO extra money. We could use some extra bucks. He gets his check and it is about $200 more than we expected. So before telling me this he stops on his way home to buy me something. He bought me a cell phone. True, I have needed one for awhile now, but we can not afford it right now. So we could have had the money we needed this week and instead I have a new cell phone.

My husband is the sweetest guy, but geeeeeez! Sometimes I think he leaves his common sense at home.

Maybe he needs some prescription medication for memory or focus or something!

Gays, Children, & Fairy Tails

LEXINGTON, Massachusetts (Reuters) - The crown prince rejects a bevy of beautiful princesses, rebuffing each suitor until falling in love with a prince. The two marry, sealing the union with a kiss, and live happily ever after.

That fairy tale about gay marriage has sparked a civil rights debate in Massachusetts, the only U.S. state where gays and lesbians can legally wed, after a teacher read the story to a classroom of seven year olds without warning parents first.

A parents' rights group said on Monday it may sue the public school in the affluent suburb of Lexington, about 12 miles west of Boston, where a teacher used the book "King & King" in a lesson about different types of weddings.

"It's just so heinous and objectionable that they would do this," said Brian Camenker, president of the Parents Rights Coalition, a conservative Massachusetts-based advocacy group.

Camenker said he believes the school, Joseph Estabrook Elementary, broke a 1996 Massachusetts law requiring schools to notify parents of sex-education lessons. "There is no question in my mind that the law is being abused here," he said.

The law states that they have to notify parents if they have "sex education" lessons. This book was not about sex. It was about marriage in a fairy tail.

"King & King" was ranked eighth among the top 10 books people wanted removed from libraries in 2004, according to the American Library Association. Its Berkeley, California publisher, Tricycle Press, said complaints over the 32-page book first surfaced in 2004 in North Carolina.

Of course people want it banned. Anything that shows the slightest bit of anything difference from themselves needs to be squashed immediately!

Maybe these people should take some prescription medication to calm themselves down!

NEW RENTER!!!

Hello Hello.... Scientology devotee Tome Cruise and his soon-to-be wife Katie Holmes now have the role of Scientology parents. So what can little baby Suri expect in the coming months and years?

Well, for starters, Hubbard and his medical followers suggest feeding the baby a formula of barley water mixed with homogenized milk and corn syrup or honey in the place of mother's breast milk or store bought formulas.

Children are expected to attend Scientology classes several hours a day, not unlike Jehovah's Witness and other religious sects, and contact with non-Scientologists who could inadvertently talk to the children and "invalidate them" is avoided.

Lessons also include teaching caregivers how to do "contact assists." For example, when a child gets hurt, parents will "gently recreate the incident until the child smiles."

Scientologists believe children should be encouraged to contribute to family life and do not hold to the idea they should be "seen and not heard". Their website offers this puffed-up, somewhat eerie description: "Children are spiritual beings, and as such they need to exchange with those around them in order to thrive and live productive, happy lives. Most children raised in good Scientology homes are above average in ability, and quickly begin to understand how and why people act as they do. Life thus becomes a lot happier and safer for them."

Hubbard's advice for kids not interested in learning about Scientology, or auditing? "If the child is even faintly unwilling to be audited, you can coax the child into short sessions, and then, as time goes on, lengthen them gradually," he wrote. No pressure there.

Ok... I am not one to squash other people beliefs, but ohhh boy! You have to be a special kind of stupid to buy into all this crap. Notice how Holes strong beliefs in the Catholic church have been thrown over for scientology. And why not? I know I would much rather bring my child up to belong to a group that allows thier children to die rather that take them to a doctor. Katie got roped in. I am guessing they didn't make her eat a live chicken on her first visit. It was devestating to me to find out just how much of a freak Tom is. I have always loved him and his movies. However, I am not in the minority here. His ratings from women have dropped to almost none. I am not a religeous person, but I respect all other views. Don't these people realize that they are furthering our separateness. Non-religeous people are always talking about thier rights to have thier own beliefs. So why can't they show the same respect and rights of Christians? This would be the same as say a Christian petitioning because there are not crosses all over every building. That it is offensive to them to not have a cross everywhere they go. What's next?.... Maybe they will make them take crosses off the tops of churches too because it is visable to the public.

These people need some prescription medication!

Kennedy

Just as each achievement by one of the Kennedy clan adds luster to what be may the closest thing to American royalty, so each misstep is dissected in the public eye and chronicled in a family archive that contains much evidence of tragedy and human frailty.

Kennedy's early morning car crash on Capitol Hill this week was grist for comics and conservative bloggers even before the Rhode Island Democrat and police could sort through the particulars of what had happened. Kennedy initially blamed the accident on a reaction to prescription drugs that he was taking under a doctor's orders for a bout of stomach flu.

But he announced Friday that he was battling depression and an addiction to prescription drugs, and said he would immediately enter treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
"I've been fighting this chronic disease since I was a young man," he said at a Capitol Hill news conference.

The six-term congressman, who was treated for alcohol and cocaine abuse as a teenager, in years past tied his problem to the pressures of growing up as a Kennedy.

"It was me hitting the wall and coming to grips with a lot of unanswered questions about who I am, where I came from, and how I was going to be accepted," he told The Boston Globe in 1999. "I didn't feel like I measured up to my family and who I was supposed to be."

I'm sorry... I have nothing against Kennedy, but give me break. Family problems? Really?!? I do not like people that have excuses like that for drug/alcohol abuse. We all have problems, but we also have free will. You, as a person, choose to allow yourself to become an addict.

"Being a Kennedy is a double-edged sword," said Brown University's Darrell West, who wrote a biography of Patrick Kennedy. "You have opportunities that other people don't have but you live your life in the public spotlight and I think that's really been very hard for the younger generation.

"They have to live up to John, Robert and Ted Kennedy. Those are tough acts to follow."

Along with the record of public service, the Kennedy legacy is marked by addiction and other problems.

Edward Kennedy's name will forever be tied to the Chappaquiddick scandal of 1969, when his car ran off a bridge, killing his passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne. Kennedy did not immediately report the tragedy, and later pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident.

Patrick's mother, Joan Kennedy, has long struggled with alcoholism and has been arrested several times for drunken driving. In 2004, her children took temporary guardianship of her affairs. Last year, she was found sprawled on a Boston sidewalk in the rain, and was hospitalized with a concussion and a broken shoulder.

One of Robert's sons, David, died in 1984 of a drug overdose. Robert Jr. was arrested in 1970 for marijuana possession and again in 1983 after nearly overdosing on heroin. Another of RFK's sons, Michael, was accused of having an affair with his family's teenage baby sitter. Michael died in 1997 when he ran into a tree while playing touch football on skis.

It sounds like these kinds of problems run in the family. Either way, I hope he gets help and gets better. I just wish people would stop hiding behind things. Take responsibility for your actions without excuses. It is just like when someone cheating on thier spouse and then saying "oh well, I was drunk".

I guess we should skip the prescription medication here.

Sick... I was very sceptical. I have always thought most of those to be scams, but some aren't so I checked it out. Basicaly what I will be doing is an affiliate program. So I am in the process of setting that up now. I have another blog for it. I will be posting more about it and the link to my other site soon. It is still under contruction right now. When I do get it all set up and post the link I would greatly appreciate it if everyone would take a look at it.

I'll be skipping the prescription meds for today- want to stay clear headed for work!

My Family...

I now have two cats. they are like a part of our family. Everyone struggled with sentancing him to death or life in prison. It was thought by many that killing him would be giving him undue satisfaction because it was exactly what he wanted. I wanted to see him put to death. First because if he was in any part to do with 9-11 which killed thousands of innocent people he deserved it. Second because I did not like the message it would send this country. That all you have to do is get up there and convince the judge and jury that you want to die and we won't do it. What kind of message is that sending all the nuts in our country who don't do that horrible things they want to due to fear of being put to death? Not to mention the example we are setting for other terrorists outside the US. We just let them know that we will be as "fair" as possible and all you have to do is tell us what you want and we will do the opposite so not to give you any satisfaction. Since when is justice based on what the defendant wants or doesn't want? On wednesday after the verdict was given he had this to say: "America, you lost. ... I won," he proclaimed, clapping his hands as he was escorted from the courtroom. So you see... we have now only given him what he wants by not putting him to death. It was all an act on him part. Patricia Reilly, who lost her sister Lorraine Lee in the New York attacks, was deflated. "I guess in this country you can kill 3,000 people and not pay with your life," she said. "I feel very much let down by this country." Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, attending a European Union' security conference in Vienna, told reporters Thursday: "There are challenges that exist with respect to prosecuting terrorist cases in our system. I think justice was served in this case." President Bush said the verdict "represents the end of this case but not an end to the fight against terror." He said Moussaoui got a fair trial and the jury spared his life, "which is something that he evidently wasn't willing to do for innocent American citizens." Fair trial? Justice? HA! Since when are we fair in justice in this country? How is it fair justice that we put someone to death for killing ONE personin this country, but not for having a hand in killing thousands? Any thoughts?

I think I need some prescription medication to deal with this one!

WHOA!

http://www.youtube.com/v/1G470rfJQCI

OMG!!! Ok... let me start by saying that I have absolutely nothing against any religeon in any way. I have a great respect for it. However... This woman, Shirley Roper, has such hatred for the people that make up the majority of our nation in total: Blacks, Jews, Gays, ect... She has the nerve to say "Thanks God for 9-11" and "Thanks God for dead soldiers" and "Thanks God for aids". That it was punishment for those people. They deserved to die. What drives me insane is that she hides her hatred behind her religeon. And why? Because she knows somewhere in her head that her veiws are wrong. Otherwise she would not have to hide behind her religeon to say it. In that video how many children did you see holding up those horrible signs? Too damn many!! I can not believe that there are still people out there who think this way and they are breeding a new generation of them by instiling these veiws in thier children. Ok... I am done ranting for the moment. What do you think?

These people MUST be on some kind of prescription medication!!

Recipe Of The Week (05-03)

Aloha Chicken

4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (about 1 lb)
1 tablespoon all purpose flour
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cans (8 oz each) unsweetened pineapple chunks
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon light teriyaki sauce (or soy sauce)
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Hot cooked rice

Flatten the chicken to 1/4 in thickness. We will start with the supposed “plane” that hit the Pentagon. First of all there were no remains of any kind found at or near the site. No remains from the plane, people, luggage, nothing. The outer walls of the Pentagon are nine feet of steel while a plane is built of light aluminum. How could that plane have gone through those walls? There were no witnesses to the plane hitting the building and the first report that CNN did clearly stated that no plane had hit the Pentagon. Now supposedly this 757 flew at 500 mph 20 feet from the ground to hit the building. Fact: that is physically impossible! Can you explain how a plane 14.9 yards high, 51.7 yards long, with a wingspan of 41.6 yards and a cockpit 3.8 yards high could make only a small hole in the building? The pictures I posted at the top were taking directly after the "plane" hit. Do you see a 757 aircraft anywhere? Odd. Now on to the WTC buildings… we will start with why did the WTC #7 building go down? Nothing hit it. Now… the planes hit the WTC buildings at the top. If that were to shake the foundation in any way wouldn’t it be at the top alone? Maybe the top breaking and falling off? There were reports that the steel in the basement of the WTC buildings were found melted. A plane crashing into the building 80 some odd stories up could not possibly do that. Now strangely enough all the planes involved in the attack had only a handful of people on them. One had 60 something people and another only had 40 something people on it. There was no record of any Arabs being passengers on any of the planes. Not even one. As the bodies were being autopsied there were no Arabs found. So what do you think? Conspiracy by our government or massive terrorist attack?

You would HAVE to be on prescription medication to beileve that!

Re-joining the working class...

Well I am been a stay-at-home wife since about a month after I got married. It has been a very nice break. My husband and I talked this week about it and desided that I should go back to work. We have enough money to pay our bills and such, but that is about it. There are things he wants and things we need. Most of his reasons for wanting me to go back are valid. See I am easily content as far as money. I don't require much to make me happy in that area, unfortunately for my husband, he is not. I guess I am just in this "I would rather poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick than go back to work" mode. I know that part of it is what I do for a living. I am a waitress, uggg! It is very hard work. Very taxing on your mind and body. Nevertheless I put in some applications. I am surprised, no calls yet. Not to sound conceeded at all, but I am good canidate for most restaurants. I have loads of experience, never been late, almost never call out, and have a very good license in safe food handling. I guess I am just used to people jumping on me to hire me. Uggg.... that did sound conceeded. Well it's the truth. Either way... we shall see what happens.

I might need some prescription medication for this process!

Dumb Old Laws.....

I found this site that tells you dumb, but true laws for every state.... some are funny!

*In Florida, under the marital rape laws, if you kiss your spouse three times without prior permission you may go to jail for life as a three strikes felon.

*In Florida, it is a serious crime to use any but the missionary position in sexual relations

*In Florida, husbands who show too much affection for their wives are subject to investigation for domestic abuse.

*In Florida, Latin Children are threatened with jail or suspended from school for drinking Sangria, the Latin cultural drink.

*Women may be fined for falling asleep under a hair dryer, as can the salon owner.

*A special law prohibits unmarried women from parachuting on Sunday or she shall risk arrest, fine, and/or jailing.

*It is illegal to sing in a public place while attired in a swimsuit.

*You may not fart in a public place after 6 PM

*You may not kiss your wife's breasts.

This site gives you old dumb laws for any state if anyone wants to check it out....http://www.dumblaws.com/

The people who made these laws MUST have been on drugs of some kind!

Housewives-Valued or just plain Lazy?

Ok... A woman on one of the groups I am in posted something she saw somewhere else about housewives. It started out someone bashing housewives and stay-at-home-moms. Saying that they are lazy. I commented a bit and then read someone elses response saying that if you are a mother you aren't lazy for staying at home, but that women who don't have children should go get a job. Now... I do not have any children yet (althought trying) and I stay at home. I stay home for many reasons. First- my husband prefers it, and I don't mind. Second- I take a lot of pride in my home and like doing things to make it nice(which takes time). Third- I have been working my butt off since I was 13. Sometimes with two jobs. I wanted a break, and I have the opportunity to do so now. I am not lazy at all. It takes a lot of time to keep my house as clean as it is, cook (plus I like to cook a lot of things from scratch, which takes time), and I do a lot of household projects. Right now I am making curtins(by hand I might add). So I guess my question to you all is: Does staying at home when it is not nessisary make you lazy? Feel free to disagree with me, I don't mind. I like a good debate at times.
